ABOUT JOE - FROM STATUS MAGAZINE

CRISSY HAS PROVED TIME AND TIME AGAIN THAT IF YOU MAKE A GOOD PLAN AND STICK WITH IT YOU WILL BE AMAZED BY WHAT OUR BODIES CAN DO.

Are you a trainer?

Yes just as much as I am a student.

Who is your trainer?

My wife and Business partner the one and only CRISSY THIBODEAU.

Occupation details:

CO-Owner and Trainer, Head Sanitation Engineer, and Lead Maintenance technician at ThiBod Fitness.

WORKING WITH WARREN IS SUPER EASY I HAD SOME SHOTS IN MY HEAD AND HE TURNED THEM IN TO THE IMAGE IS WAS GOING FOR

What does TEAM THIBOD mean to you?

As co-owner, I have had a privilege to watch ThiBod grow and watch it change peoples lives. Some of my examples of that would be Ken a 77 year old man who had 3 heart attacks and 5 strokes and could not walk a tenth of a mile without getting out of breath, now walks over a mile a day 5-6 times a week. Seth a 18 year old gamer kid who had never done a push in his life before signing up for the U.S. Air force spent 6 months with us and qualified at he advanced level 47 push ups and 55 sit ups in 1 minute. Watching clients build self confidence and become comfortable lifting weights is always a win.

What is your biggest take-a-way from working with Crissy?

As her husband and business partner she constantly practices what she preaches and that is consistency. She’s proved time and time again that if you make a good plan and stick with it you will be amazed by what our bodies can do.

How was the shoot even experience for you?

This was my second time doing a Fitness Photo Shoot, I had a great time! Working with Warren is super easy I had some shots in my head and he turned them in to the image is was going for.

WATCHING CLIENTS BUILD SELF CONFIDENCE AND BECOME COMFORTABLE LIFTING WEIGHTS IS ALWAYS A WIN.

Relationship status:  Married to Crissy (I feel like I should be able to put an image here so people can see how much I married up) for 16 years.

Fitness Goals:

Current goals are to gain lean muscle I plan on shooting again next year and there are a few areas that I would like to see more definition sorry you'll have to wait till next year to find out.

Complete Bio:

I have a non-fitness background, I was raised in a home were both parents smoked, ate highly processed foods and did little to no active workouts. Both of my parents passed away before they reached 68 years old. I stayed active as a surfer 24/7 until we moved to the Gulf Coast of Florida and we never see rideable waves here. I slowly got into running and outside workouts, always working a traveling corporate job when we started ThiBod, I started instructing outdoor classes, and in the last year retired from the corporate world to run the gym with Crissy. Spending more time at the gym and at home has helped me get my nutrition dialed in.

I'M ONE OF THOSE WEIRDOS THAT LIKES TO RUN FOR FUN, IT'S SUCH A MIND CLEANSING EXPERIENCE FOR ME.

Training Plan:

I'm one of those weirdos that likes to run for fun, it's such a mind cleansing experience for me. I teach HIIT 3x a week were I participate and the class follows along, combine that with 3 lifting days a week I should hit my goal for next year no problem.

Nutritional & Supplements:

Magnum Nutraceuticals! My stack changes depending on my goals! Right now Quattro, Pre-Fo, Limitless, DNA, Opus, Hard Muscle builder, Acid and of course Mimic for those high carb days.

Special skills?

Sharing positivity!

What do your parents mean to you? What did they teach you?

My Dad was a very special person because he taught me how to love and treat someone unconditionally. Sounds corny I know but he spent every day of his life making sure my mom knew how much she meant to him. One of his favorite quotes every time he saw someone running was “that person doesn't work for a living”  which I think about every time I run. its not really a true statement but it was his.

...AND IN THE LAST YEAR RETIRED FROM THE CORPORATE WORLD TO RUN THE GYM WITH CRISSY.

What separates Status from other fitness magazines?

Other magazines haven't had team THIBod in them!

What would it mean to you to become the next Status Fitness Cover-model?

I've seen the covers so it would mean they lowered there standards.

What was it like working with Warren from Healthy Vision Photography?

Warren definitely knew how to direct someone who had never done a fitness shoot before. Seeing him shoot the a lot of our clientele and how he individualizes each shoot is pretty amazing.

MY DAD WAS A VERY SPECIAL PERSON BECAUSE HE TAUGHT ME HOW TO LOVE AND TREAT SOMEONE UNCONDITIONALLY.

Who inspires you?

Crissy. I get to see her training discipline first hand, and once I did my photo shoot prep, I realized how hard it really is and she makes it look easy. People with integrity! When people say they are going to do something now matter how big or how small and they actually do it!

Who do you wish to inspire?

Most importantly, my two boys, Bayne and Bryce. I want them to be positive influences in the world and to see they can do anything they want, as long as they work for it.Then my clients I want each and everyone of them to reach their goals it makes my heartache when they don't and I hope they can see that in me.

I GET TO CRISSY'S TRAINING DISCIPLINE FIRST HAND, AND ONCE I DID MY PHOTO SHOOT PREP, I REALIZED HOW HARD IT REALLY IS AND SHE MAKES IT LOOK EASY.

 Transformation story:

I was always a active person and when I met Crissy 20+ yeas ago I was a scrawny 175lbs I actually used this pick up line “hey you want to touch my 6 pack” she laughed but it worked. Fast forward 12 years later when Crissy was pregnant with the twins and my weight went up to 210, and I dint not feel good about the way I looked or felt. It was a slow process but now I stay around 185- 190 and for photo shoot days I will get down to 178ish.  My goal for the last 20 years was to have that 6 pack that I thought I had when I first met Crissy. Im glad to say that on the day of my shoot they showed up for a few hours!

Life goals:

Live a long, healthy life.  Some fancy quote I read somewhere along the way “everyday you are either fighting a disease or feeding it, choose wisely” whether it mental or physical always choose the one that should have positive outcome.

1. You can’t out-train a bad diet.

2. Your body will always take the easiest route.

3. You gotta have your mind into it.

4. Nobody can do it for you, you have to want it.
